## Overview

BigID’s Google Tag Manager (GTM) integration offers a no-code template for quick and easy deployment.

As a [**Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP)**](https://bigid.com/blog/bigid-achieves-google-cmp-certification-for-cookie-consent-management/), BigID is fully compatible with **Google Consent Mode v2**, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with Google’s privacy requirements. Thanks to this It works seamlessly with Google Consent Mode v2 and is certified by Google for privacy compliance

## Step‑by‑step instructions

In the **BigID Cookies & Trackers** dashboard, select the domain you want to configure. From the **Overview** tab, locate the **Banner Integration Center** on the right-hand side and select **Tag Manager.**

### Install BigID ‘s Google Tag Template

BigID offers an official [**BigID Google Tag Template**](https://tagmanager.google.com/gallery/#/owners/bigexchange/templates/gtm-consent-template), approved by Google and available directly within the **Community Template Gallery**. This template simplifies deployment, ensures compatibility with **Google Consent Mode v2**, and helps streamline compliance with global privacy regulations. Plus, by doing it this way **BigID will initialize the Google Consent Mode V2** properly for you without the need for any extra configuration.

To add it to your Tag Manager, go to your Google Tag Manager and follow these simple steps:

1. In Google Tag Manager, go to the **Templates** section and click on "Search Gallery". ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/a1b4dbb6-204b-4038-905b-11451e3058a8/Images/Documentation/image(170).png)
2. Click on the magnifier icon at the upper right part of the screen and look for "**BigID**". Select "**BigID Cookie CMP**". ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/a1b4dbb6-204b-4038-905b-11451e3058a8/Images/Documentation/Screenshot 2025-02-19 at 5.50.41 PM.png)

## [Advanced] Integrating GTM with the browser’s Global Privacy Control (GPC)

After you installed BigID’s Cookie Banner Tag Template you can integrate the browser’s GPC setting with the following steps:

1. In GTM, go to the *User-defined Variables* section on the *Variables* screen and click on ***New***.
