# Mobile App Consent (App CMP)

### Overview

The **Mobile Consent Management Platform (App CMP)** in BigID enables organizations to manage **user consent and preferences for mobile applications** on **iOS** and **Android**, alongside their existing **web (cookie) consent**, **all from a single, centralized platform**.

Built as part of the broader BigID Consent framework, it provides a **unified workspace** where privacy teams can configure, deploy, and monitor consent banners for mobile apps.

BigID’s Mobile CMP automatically **scans mobile applications** to detect:

- **SDKs** integrated in the app,
- **Permissions** the app requests from users (e.g., location, camera, contacts).

The system then **automatically classifies** detected SDKs and permissions into privacy-related categories (such as Necessary, Statistics, Marketing and Preferences), streamlining banner configuration and compliance review.
