Overview
Banner Builder is a configurable tool that allows organizations to manage cookie banner experiences through a no-code interface. Companies can use one of the five out-of-the-box banner templates, edit them or create custom variations tailored to their regional compliance and business requirements. Banners are assigned per region and can be updated at any time.
Preconfigured Banner Templates
The following banner types are available by default in Banner Builder
Check here the details of each banner out of the box:
Configuration Options
Each banner can be configured using the Banner Builder interface. There are two main configuration areas for each banner:
General Behavior: This section defines how the banner functions.
Primary and Secondary Views: This section allows you to configure the content of the banner, including text, buttons, and other visual elements.
General Behavior
Define how the banner behaves, including whether trackers are blocked by default, if the banner appears automatically on first page load, and which screen is shown when a user reopens the banner.
Type of consent (explicit or implicit)
Explicit Opt-in: Trackers are blocked by default and only activated after the user provides consent. This is required in regions like the EU under GDPR.
Implicit Opt-in: Trackers are enabled by default, assuming consent unless the user opts out. This is commonly used in opt-out frameworks like CCPA or in notice banners.
Return Visitor Behavior: Defines which screen (main or secondary) is displayed when a user reopens the banner, either by clicking the floating widget or a dedicated link/button.
Close icon visibility: Show or hide the (x) button on the banner.
Show Banner on Page Load: Applicable to implicit consent banners only. Allows you to choose whether the banner appears automatically on the first page load or only after user clicks on the circle widget or a dedicated link/button.
Main and Secondary Screens
Each banner has two editable screens:
Main screen: The first view presented to users. You can customize:
Title, body text, links and button texts.
Which buttons appear (e.g., Accept, Reject, Preferences).
“Do Not Sell or Share My Data” toggle (when applicable).
Secondary screen: The detailed preferences page. You can configure:
Title, body text, category description, links and button texts.
Display categories description or not.
Display list of vendors or not.
Which buttons appear (e.g., Accept, Reject, Preferences, Do not sell or share my data).
